Twins Alunie and Laura lose their parents suddenly, right in the middle of a happy life. They start a new life with their aunt in the harsh winter of Minnesota.

Alunie is not an ordinary child. Neurodivergent and struggling with socializing, Alunie expresses herself through art. The bond she forms with two children she meets in middle school, Jack and Carrie, makes her feel like she is not alone. However, her twin sister Laura drifts away from her in pursuit of popularity and betrays her. This is a story of loss, betrayal, forgiveness, and being yourself.

Buried Feelings is an emotional young adult fiction set in a universe of anthropomorphic animals, dealing with bullying, trauma, family bonds, and supernatural powers.
