Bucky Barnes wasn't supposed to bring Josephine to boot camp, but he had no choice. He wasn't supposed to graduate with a seven-year-old in tow who honestly spent way too much time with Steven Grant Rogers because she rarely listened to a thing he said. He shouldn't have been allowed to bring her to Europe with him, where she spent the next two years on base, following Peggy Carter around the base like a lost puppy, but once again, he was out of options. And last of all, he wasn't supposed to outlive her.
Josephine should've stayed on base with Peggy, she should've done her schoolwork or played with one of her dolls. She should have listened when her brother told her to stay put, that she couldn't ride in the truck this time. But she didn't; she was more stubborn and mischievous than she was a listener and a rule follower. Josephine should NOT have been hiding behind the cargo crates on the back of the truck under a tarp while the 107th squadron rode to the battlefields of Germany. And when HYDRA swarmed their truck, and her told her to stay quiet and stay hidden, she should've listened......but Josephine didn't do any of that.

He was too worried, and a bit scared, to go to his childhood friend, Steve Rogers, so he tried to hide from the blonde as well. Bucky had jumped from place to place for a while, running into HYDRA agents every few months. He was tired of running, and he hoped soon he'd be able to find a place to stay; a place to have somewhat of a home and to finally start remembering who he was and what happened in his life. After a year of being on the run, Bucky decided to hideout in a small town in Ireland. The town had a semi-small population, and the people seemed to mind their own business. He found himself a cheap apartment, number 101, and he was easily able to hide from the world while in the small living area. *************** In apartment 102, lived a woman by the name of Harlow Simpson. Harlow was a sweet girl who moved to Ireland years ago with her brother Wade. Wade had run away from home because he had accidentally had a daughter, Jodie, a few years back. Harlow had decided to move with her brother and his new born daughter, so she could help him take care of her. When Jodie was two, Wade decided to join an underground fight club, but only a year later, he was killed in a scuffle with a man twice his size over a bet. Harlow was given full custody of Jodie, and she and the small child moved to the apartment to get away from all of the sad memories of Wade. Three years later, Harlow and Jodie were surprised to see a man moving into the small apartment next to theirs. The apartment was very small, and from what Harlow seen, the man really didn't have much to move in. Each day, Harlow and Jodie would watch the man leave, only for him to come back with a small bag of fruit.
