Every October, the small town of Willowbrook hosts a fall fair that's been a tradition for over a century. This year, however, there are rumors that it will be the last one-the land where it's held is being sold. A group of friends decides to make the most of it, spending the weekend soaking in the fair's charm: hayrides, caramel apples, pumpkin carving contests, and the haunted corn maze. But when they stumble upon an old journal hidden inside one of the barns, they discover clues about a secret connected to the town's founding-something the fair was originally meant to protect. As the leaves keep falling and the fair counts down to its closing night, the friends must solve the mystery before the fair (and the secret it guards) disappears forever.

Alone. Naked. Cold. Covered in blood that is just as likely to be mine as someone else's. I don't know who I am, where I am, or what I'm running from. All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. I can only pray these beasts are not the same ones I'm running from. -This story has depictions of violence, depression, panic attacks, gore.
