The Unbearable Eating Contest

Ifeanyi, once a light-footed dancer from Kano, now lives in London and struggles with his family's poverty. He earns money by participating in brutal underground eating competitions, where his body grotesquely swells from enormous amounts of food. While the audience admires him as a spectacle, he feels the physical pain and the threat of his own limits. Each victory brings money and temporary relief, but also an increasing burden on his body. Despite the exhaustion, he keeps returning, driven by his family's hunger.
