After the Tournament of the Sources, Arin got separated in an attempt to save Ras from the Forbidden Five, where he ended up in the Wyldness with Harumi. Meanwhile, while the ninja try to find their missing team members, Ras is looking for more source dragon Icons, but unknown to him, obtaining them comes with a cost...
This takes place after Ninjago: Dragons Rising Season 2.
Note: In this story, the events of Crystalized is removed, so Harumi is still evil.

Harumi wants nothing more but to ask Lloyd to start a family, but it's near impossible with their schedules and her fear of Lloyd rejecting it. To solve both their dilemmas, Lloyd looks for a new job, and with a suggestion from Skylor, the two foster an interesting pair of children. Arin, a boy who lost his parents and was given away at a very young age, and Sora, a girl who ran away from home after years of neglect and abuse. Almost spitting images of the two.
