"Go away, I don't want to see you." Lira says with a frown, turning away from the boy. Maki catches her wrist, pulling her back towards him. Her back connects with his chest, his arms wrapping around her in a tight hug.
"You can't fool me, Li, I know you don't mean it." He says softly as he buries his face in the side of her neck, Lira freezing for a second before she comes back to her senses.
"It's for the best, just let me go." She practically begs as tears spring to her eyes, the girl weakly fighting against his hold. Maki only tightens his hold, unaffected by her struggling.
"I'm never letting you go again, Lira."
