Neil Crosby and Valentina Rodriguez have grown up together attached at the hip. But as they grow up Valentina struggles with major mental health issues and refuses to bring Neil down with her, pushing him away for a long time.

Before the end of senior year the futhermuckers throw a party, Val finally lets her guard down for a night of fun with her old best friends. Right after discovering all her suppressed feelings for Neil, he invites her for a sleepover after a party, just like old times.

Learning to navigate new feelings, and how to keep them from Neil and her best friends so nobody gets hurt. Her mental health and letting herself have fun with the band again after senior year, Val is in for one hell of a summer.
