Seventeen-year-old Misaki Cheng has officially had enough of nineteen-year-old Vincent Monro - a self-proclaimed heartbreaker whom she personally categorizes as an "artless, puny midget prick."

Vincent, ever confident and catastrophically oblivious, thinks she's being dramatic.
(He also thinks she's cute when she's mad - but he'd never say that out loud.)

So when Misaki challenges him to a game - a reckless, dangerous, heart-wrecking kind - Vincent accepts without hesitation.
