Sonic missed two years of his life, and Shadow takes him into his home. One way or another, his mind forces him to cope in unimaginable ways. (this story includes age regression eventually, it's not centric but this story is mainly about recovery)
Or, Eggman's war ended.Two years lost in a coma,Sonic wakes to find his friends have moved on, his body patched together, and his speed forbidden. Shadow offers him a place to stay-not out of kindness, but something harder to name. Between medical checkups, quiet mornings, and questions he doesn't want to answer, Sonic has to relearn how to live in a world that doesn't need its hero anymore.

This is a Sonadow AU where Shadow is an alien from a different universe. He finds Mobius and tries to become the most powerful... but without anyone noticing him. He is trying to become one of them. Over time, he figures out that Sonic is the quote on quote "ultimate lifeform" on Mobius. He tries to become acquaintances with Sonic so he can learn their culture... as things take a turn. (These characters are seen as young adults. The only child depicted in this story is Tails. So, for whoever may be thinking, I am sexualizing minors. You're wrong.
