Sonic missed two years of his life, and Shadow takes him into his home. One way or another, his mind forces him to cope in unimaginable ways. (this story includes age regression eventually, it's not centric but this story is mainly about recovery)
Or, Eggman's war ended. Two years lost in a coma,Sonic wakes to find his friends have moved on, his body patched together, and his speed forbidden. Shadow offers him a place to stay-not out of kindness, but something harder to name. Between medical checkups, quiet mornings, and questions he doesn't want to answer, Sonic has to relearn how to live in a world that doesn't need its hero anymore.

Trails of Ice & Shadows [Shadonic/ Crossover Jelsa] FROZEN AU ❄️
In an alternate universe, Sonic is the blue hero with supersonic speed and icy powers. He doesn't just run fast: he freezes, creates ice bridges as he passes, and fights to protect his kingdom and keep the elements in balance. Shadow is a spirit who lives in the Enchanted Forest where Sonic has recently settled. He is a solitary immortal being, shrouded in mystery, who watches Sonic from afar. Shadow is attracted to that mix of power and vulnerability, because in Sonic he sees a part of himself: the weight of responsibility, the doubt of being more of a weapon than a hero. Their meeting is inevitable. Both are loners, both carry on their shoulders the weight of a power that isolates them from the world. Can two such opposite forces - Sonic's fast light and Shadow's cold shadow - find a balance? And when the battle is over, will they choose love over loneliness? . . . . . . . Warnings ⚠️ - Shadonic/Sonadow type love story. - Explicit and sexual content between characters. - There will be chapters not suitable for minors, I will put a warning at the beginning of the chapter and emojis 🔞🌶️ in the title to indicate it. For those who are not comfortable with this type of content, please skip the chapter. This will not compromise the plot of the story. - Sonussy If you do not like such content, you can not read and move on. Refrain from comments that incite hatred and violence. Album 1: Shadow of a Rose
Amy after being rejected by Sonic one last time falls into a depressive state and has become an insomniac. Shadow deals with a reoccurring nightmare that has kept him closed off and distant. Can the two find a solution to there problems? Maybe if they had a little help. All chapters are titled after songs. I own none of the songs used in this fanfic. Cover art by @ScruffiBerriComplete

HEADLOCK // a shadow the hedgehog x reader
You had spark. A fire, roaring and crackling and untameable. Passion. A love for all things science and nerdy, freakishly good at coding and technology from a young age. You went through a lot of different phases, like most kids; wanting to be a video game designer to computer engineer to software architect. You're most ambitious dream was to become a high ranking cybersecurity specialist. Maybe work for the government one day, make a difference. Change the world. Leave a mark, a good one. Your mark. Oh, how sweet and naïve you were. That spark was crushed and stomped into a capitalist-shaped curb, pushed aside until what was left was a perfect little cog to fit into a machine. You work at a grocery store, the customer service industry a cruelty that destroys all hope for humanity, at least it did for you. Years of misuse, abuse from customers and staff alike colding your once warm, beating heart. You took the brunt of whatever crap corporate wanted dealt with, cleaned up whatever mess your incompetent co-workers left behind; be it calling out "sick" last minute to doing stock take incorrectly. It all fell onto you, the managers far to busy to help their supervisor. You were crushed, utterly and completely, and it was only a matter of time until you gave out. - More description on the story in the warnings and disclaimers chapter! Warnings! Violence, very mild sexual content, swearing and other mature themes. Disclaimers! The Death of Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic died. Shadow watched him die. It felt so real, so why did Shadow wake up in his room a month before the battle that ended it all? Why is he alive? Why was sonic still smiling like nothing happened? Why does Shadow deserve a second chance?
Dark Legacy
From weapon to warrior to reluctant hero, Shadow the Hedgehog thought he had finally outrun his demons. The Ultimate Lifeform who once grappled with cosmic threats and his own existence now faced a different kind of challenge: normalcy. Trading chaos emeralds for coffee dates, he built something he never thought possible - a future filled with love, laughter, and the promise of forever with the one who saw past his scars. But destiny has a cruel sense of humor. The very blood that makes him extraordinary now betrays him, as Black Doom's sinister return awakens the dormant alien DNA coursing through his veins. With each passing day, the carefully constructed walls of his peaceful life crack and splinter. The darkness he once conquered whispers seductive promises of power, threatening to drag him back to the solitary existence he knew before. Now Shadow stands at a crossroads, caught between the warmth of love and the cold embrace of his heritage. As the shadow of Black Doom looms ever larger, he must face his greatest fear: that the very power that makes him unique could destroy everything - and everyone - he has grown to cherish. Takes place a few years after the last chapter of "Crossfire" (not the epilogue). I would love it if you all read that first, but it is not needed to understand this story :)Complete
In Silence You Stayed (Sonadow)
Previously Suffering in silence Sonic the Hedgehog has always been seen as unstoppable - the fast-talking hero, the one who never quits. But when the battles go quiet and the world stops needing saving, Sonic is left alone with the one enemy he can't outrun: his own mind. With thirty days left on a silent countdown he keeps to himself, Sonic begins drifting further into darkness - until a cold, familiar presence starts pulling him back. Shadow the Hedgehog, haunted by his own ghosts, sees through Sonic's smile and steps in when no one else does. As the days tick by, Shadow and Sonic grow closer, building something real between the pain and healing. But love isn't a magic fix, and healing isn't a straight line. And when the countdown reaches zero, everything changes. Title and cover change This is a slow-burn, emotional journey through trauma, survival, love, and what it means to be truly seen. It's about scars - the ones you carry on your body and the ones you hide in your heart - and how connection, though fragile, can be the strongest thing in the world. TW: Depression, self-harm, suicide ideation. Hopeful ending.Complete
Stay - The Rain
Sonic was always the light - the unshakable, untouchable hero. But beneath the speed and the smile, he was breaking. Years of buried trauma, unspoken hurt, and Shadow's relentless words finally push him to vanish in silence, leaving the team behind. When he returns, he's different. Quieter. Precise. Smiling too widely and speaking only when necessary. He deflects every question, absorbs every insult, and lives like he's trying to be what everyone wants - even if it's killing him inside. Shadow notices first. And slowly, painfully, he realizes the damage his own words carved into someone already drowning. As missions cease and the world quiets, the team watches Sonic spiral deeper - refusing food, hurting in silence, breaking piece by piece. But through quiet gestures, sleepless nights, and tender moments in borrowed hoodies, Sonic begins to heal - not by erasing the pain, but by letting someone stay with him through it.
