Living in the desert was...nice. At least Grian thought so. Him, his sister Gem, and their cats all lived together in the tower upon Monopoly Mountain, under the Watcher's orders and voices, for their enjoyment.
With the loveable mess that was Scar. He was there too. Because of a little prank that left Grian forever in his debt and involved in his chaos. Okay, MAYBE Grian didn't totally hate Scar.
He didn't hate him at all. He actually quite liked him.
He was just a bit of a let down at times

The Hermits are back for Season 8 and some of them have been playing in a death game called 3rdLife. But the ending was a lot harder to cope with for one of them. Can Grian cope with the guilt slowly overtaking him? Will he be able to ever look Scar in the eyes again? Meanwhile, Scar seems his happy self. That slowly changes when his beloved pesky bird seems to avoid him. Aka, Grian doesn't want to make the same mistakes, but does. And Scar tries to figure out why things have changed. And somehow, they always end up back in the desert.Complete

After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationship with Grain and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes. This is also my first fanfiction in 5-6 years I want to note that I am a physically disabled man myself and an ambulatory wheelchair, cane, and brace user, so a lot of what I write in this about experiencing disability is based on my own personal experiences.
