"What Empty Hands Teach" is a short story about growing up with presence that felt like absence. It's about the way someone can be in the room but still out of reach, how silence can weigh heavier than words, and how neglect doesn't always look like leaving. It can look like staying, but never really arriving. It's me trying to make sense of what that kind of emptiness leaves behind.
