After Dark follows Ren and Kayuki, a modern couple from the wasteland, who are expecting a baby and seeking safety in the city.
Twenty years ago, dark clouds covered the sky for eight months, and the world's governments collapsed.
Then, the first metahuman appeared, split the clouds, and sunlight returned.
In time, metahumans formed the Hero Association, built seven great cities from the ruins, and a new world order began.
