And on that night, Kang Seo-yeon lost everything. As she watched the news about Gwanghwamun gate finally being restored to its original state after 100 years, Seo-yeon, now known as Yujin, couldn't help but remember the past she had tried to forget for hundreds of years. Their clan was accused of treason, and her father entrusted her to his attendant. the old man disguised her as a boy and fled the capital. A few days later, her whole family was executed. The horses galloped day and night, not stopping until they reached the outskirts of Hanyang. The night she arrived at the old man's residence, her heart was heavy with grievances and hatred. she couldn't fathom why they had to suffer when none of her family members were involved in the schemes within court. The painful question echoed in her mind: why, after joyfully celebrating her birthday, did she have to spend the rest of her life without them? "Some houses remember. Some lovers do too." There are places where the dead never rest - and people who never forget, no matter how much they claim to. In the decaying heart of a forgotten orchard, two men meet. One has been watching. One has been summoned. And neither of them is safe." In a remote countryside estate, surrounded by a dying orchard and endless fog, Felix works as a live-in caretaker for a crumbling manor owned by a reclusive family with a cursed legacy. He's young, quiet, and doesn't ask questions - ideal for a job where the locals whisper about madness, disappearances, and strange sounds in the night. One day, Hyunjin arrives - the estranged heir of the estate, freshly returned from an asylum abroad, draped in silk and secrets. Pale, volatile, and disarmingly beautiful, Hyunjin claims he's here to reclaim what's his. But Felix soon realizes he's been brought here for a reason - and it's not to tend trees. The orchard is rotting. The house is shifting. And at night, Hyunjin wanders barefoot through the halls, talking to things that aren't there. Despite the dread curling at his spine, Felix finds himself drawn to Hyunjin's broken brilliance - to the magnetic way he speaks of love, death, and fate like they're the same thing. As their connection deepens, so does the sense that the house wants something from them both.
