Octavia Riley was well acquainted with military life. She had lived in that world for eight years. Not only was she one of the youngest to join, she quickly rose through the ranks and had earned a reputation for herself, landing her within Captain Price's Task Force. Though, her welcome was all but friendly and inviting. She and her older brother, Simon "Ghost" Riley had become estranged after he left her with their abusive father to join the military. The lack of information on her gave way to questioning and doubt from Soap. As the task force is pushed into a battle both Octavia and Price had come to know fairly well by now, they are thrown in to their own battle of trust as Octavia tries proving herself despite Price's good word. Will Octavia ever turn the opinions of the task force? What will happen between Ghost and Octavia as they are forced to work alongside one another? And what will the Scottish marksman and explosives expert do when he comes to realize he is drawn to this mysterious woman more than he'd like to admit?
