When fifteen-year-old Arabella Ann Mikaelson's house goes under renovation, her parents take off for Florida, leaving her in the care of her mother's old friend Susan Heffley. Now Arabella's stuck sharing a roof with Greg, little Manny, and - worst of all - Greg's older brother, Rodrick.

Rodrick Heffley is loud, messy, and lives to annoy his younger brother. Arabella's boyfriend Bryson might be the perfect football quarterback, but he isn't around to save her from the chaos of the Heffley house. Between Rodrick's pranks, Greg's constant complaints, and the madness of high school, Arabella has to figure out how to survive the semester without losing her patience... or her sense of humor.
