The moment I stepped into the hallway, the lights flickered , once, twice ,and then he was there. Leaning against the wall like he'd been waiting for me all night.
My breath caught. I froze.
He pushed off the wall slowly, like a predator stretching after a long hunt. His eyes locked on mine, tracking every shaky step I took backward.
"Running?" His voice was silk over steel. "You should know better than to run from me."
I spun around to escape, but his hand slammed against the wall beside my head before I could take a single step. His body closed in behind me, his presence overwhelming. My heartbeat drummed so loud I swore he could hear it.
"Look at me," he ordered.
I turned my head reluctantly, and he caught my chin between his fingers, tilting it up until I had no choice but to meet his gaze. The dominance in his eyes made my knees tremble.
"Good girl," he murmured, dragging his thumb slowly across my bottom lip , a silent, dangerous promise. He leaned down, his breath hot against my ear. "When I hunt, I always catch what's mine."

Abijah never planned on stepping into a nightclub, let alone dancing in one. But when her roommate, beautiful, wild, and secretly a stripper, begs her to cover just one shift, Abijah reluctantly agrees.
She thought it would be harmless. One night. One stage. One secret.
She was wrong.
Because in the shadows of the club sat a man everyone feared to whisper about.
Rafael Nero De Rossi.
The Diavolo.
The Godfather of all mafia bosses.
And the moment his eyes touched her, his fate was sealed.
She was no longer just a college girl. She was prey.
His prey.
And in Rafael's world... the devil doesn't ask. He takes.
