The end of the world has a way of stripping people bare. Especially Mia and Daryl - that is until they find each other.
For Mia Rivers, survival means keeping her knife sharp, her walls higher, and her secrets buried. She's been running since the fall, haunted by the brutal death of her sister and a past she doesn't dare share. Trusting anyone is out of the question - until she crosses paths with Daryl Dixon.
Gruff, guarded, and carrying his own scars, Daryl sees through the armor Mia wears. Against her better judgment, she finds herself drawn toward the one man who seems to understand what it means to survive broken. But in a world where every step could be your last, letting someone close might be the most dangerous choice of all.

The End Has Come but I'm Still Here
They say the world is over, but I'm still here. If it's the end of days then why are people still alive, maybe the world isn't over perhaps they just have to learn how to survive in this new world. For Lexi Grimes that is a lot easier said than done. Her father was shot a week before the dead began to rise. Now Lexi has to be strong for her little brother Carl and their mother, Lori. Lexi was the one that got her brother and mom packed and ready to leave. While her mom was grabbing family albums and her brother was grabbing comic books, Lexi grabbed her Springfield Sniper, extra ammo, and her silencer. As well as any food that would last a while. She was already pulling out of the driveway to go get her father when Shane came in behind them, driving like a bat out of hell. Shane told them that Rick was dead, and he came to get them to safety, but Lexi didn't want to believe him. Shane had to physically stop Lexi from getting back in their car and driving to the hospital. The only thing that truly stopped her though was the look on her little brother's face, he needed her now more than ever. The livings time was coming to a close on this planet, the dead have risen and are walking the earth, looking to devour anything in their path. There were now more of those things than survivors, and it was impossible to survive. Abigail Blake was a brave young woman, who had no family or friends. Her mom died in childbirth, she left her father behind in that small town. The one she would never go back to. She only had herself to watch out for, it had always been that way, it was easier that way. She was clever, she knew how to yield a weapon, and she knew how to survive, if she kept herself to herself then she would be just fine. Sometimes the world doesn't work that way, and you end up becoming a part of something, and you don't even realise that it's happened. Could she survive as part of the pack? She wasn't convinced, she didn't even truly know herself, she had been lost when she was younger. Daryl finds a girl while out on a run, completely alone, and traumatized. She doesn't speak, she hardly sleeps, but Daryl can tell she's tough. Daryl decides to bring her home, and she's attached at his hip. Daryl becomes protective of her and warns anyone that messes with her will wish they didn't. (So this is a lighter story than what I usually right, everyone will have a little humor, it's what happens when Hazel hangs out with people, they feel vulnerable, and share everything with her. (Based on the show "The Walking Dead") Serina Rose Williams lives a very mundane and happy life. She lives with her motherly sister Lori, overprotective brother in law Rick, and adorable nephew Carl. If it were up to her, she would want to live her whole life like this, happy and close with her family. However, it would appear that life seemed to have other plans for her. for she receives news that the only brother she has in her life, Rick was shot in the line of duty , and had entered a comatose state. Heartbroken, and grief stricken, Serina is not at all prepared when the world decides to end, only three months later. With no choice, Serina has to leave the only home she's ever known, and flee the city along with her sister, nephew, and her brother in law's best friend. They set up camp and try their best to live a peaceful life whilst the world as they know it, succumb to the walking dead. Serina must accept the rules of survival in this new world, while trying to protect her family, and withholding the morals she had in her owl world. She must soon come to terms with the fact that in this new world, it's kill or be killed, something the gentle-hearted girl must overcome, before the new world ends up breaking her.
