I new from a young age that my duty was to the people of Vesperia. My life was worth nothing without them and I have to be will to give it up to protect them. I knew that one day I would give up everything for my people. I came to terms with it, yet always wanted for there to be another way. I hoped that maybe I would have to give up my life. But now, faced with letting my younger brother take on a dangerous responsibility that was supposed to be mine, I had no choice but to do everything I could to make sure that it didn't happen. Even if my life was the price.

This is the story of a man, who fights as much with himself, as he does the world around him. He is no hero, he is simply a man, trying to make the best he can of himself, and fix what he broke.
