In an Orsénie plunged under the yoke of the Central Order, a totalitarian regime where every citizen is monitored, Katrielle Hoover, former guinea pig of the mysterious project Génésis, tries to live in the shadows. After fleeing the Phaeton laboratory, she becomes a detective and establishes her agency with her friend Sharona, while welcoming Lyra, an ambitious young journalist. Together, they conduct discreet investigations, but quickly, the truth about the Order and the Génésis project resurfaces, threatening their lives and those of the missing children.

Katrielle, strong but marked by its traumas, becomes a symbol of hope for the people, fighting against propaganda and fear imposed by the regime. Yet, every victory comes with unbearable pain, and her personal choices bring her closer to despair.
