Kennedy exhaled through her nose and looked up at Ian's worried green eyes. Reaching up, she let her hand trace his jaw before cupping his cheek and he subconsciously leaned in.
"I can't choose for you, Ian. If you want to go and run away with Mickey to Mexico, I can't stop you. But I want you to understand that I and our child will be here, across the border waiting for you if you ever decide to come back."
Ian's eyes softened and he pulled her in for a tight hug and she hugged back fiercely.
"I know it sounds weird, but you're the best the best mother for our child I could have ever asked for," they laughed and pulled away "You're the only woman I've ever loved Kennedy. That makes you so special to me." he leaned down to press his lips to her's in a brief kiss...
