Alvassy, a quiet young boy, leads an ordinary life in the grey outskirts of London.
Yet strange phenomena have always surrounded him: objects that move on their own, voices whispering in the silence, dreams that feel far too real. One day, drawn as if by an invisible force, he steps into an abandoned grocery store on the edge of town. There, behind a rusted door hidden by time, he discovers a forgotten room...
A crack. A breath. Then-emptiness.
He falls into a parallel world: Ethéria. A realm dazzling in appearance, yet gnawed by creeping corruption.
Inhabited by fairies, unicorns, witches, and beings once thought only to exist in legends, Ethéria stands on the brink of peril. An ancient evil is awakening. A darkness spreads. And every gaze turns toward him.
He is the child of the old tales.
The one who could restore balance... or hasten the fall.
But Alvassy knows nothing of his true nature-nor of the formidable power he carries within. Gifts he must learn to master... before the shadows overtake him.
For in the dark, something is waiting.
In the depths of Ethéria, an entity watches him, calls to him... and knows him.
Each step he takes in this world brings him closer to a truth he may not survive uncovering.
The first volume of a spellbinding saga, where magic dances with shadow and light.
"Don't look at me like that, human. I am your ally... until you bore me."
- The Queen of the Fae
