Everything was happening too fast. Tanner was gone and Taylor was barely breathing. I had to do something.
"Vannessa throw me the sword" I scream reaching out my hand. Before she could, an explosion throws me back and I slam into the ground gasping as my lungs search for air that doesn't seem to be around me. When I am finally able to get air into my lungs I push myself up to my leg so that I am standing. I searched for Vannessa but the smoke was blocking my view. I take a step toward the direction she was but a blade is put to my neck stopping me.
"Elijah" I growl he smirks at my reaction before adding a little more pressure to the blade which makes me back up. I searched for my sword; it couldn't have flown far from the blast.
"You should really be looking at the person holding a blade to your neck." Elijah says I make eye contact with him
"What do you want Elijah?" That's when I see Vannessa holding the sword and heading towards us. My hope ends slow when I see what was really going on. That's when it all came crashing....

Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. I blinked. My eyes began focusing on shapes. I could hear murmuring voices. I could smell medication. I could taste blood. I could feel scratchy blankets lying over my frail body. Three humans, talking under their breaths. A blue cast on my leg. Another on my arm. Stitches in my other 'leg'. More stitches on my face neck and chest. A huge stapled gash across my entire stomach, starting from my shoulder and going in a diagonal line straight across my body and ending at my hip bone. It had just avoided my heart. Tubes were threaded through my arms and other areas of my stomach. I was suddenly very aware of the amount of pain I was in. I cried out in pain and all three people turned to me. The middle one lurched forwards and took a needle from the side. The other two fussed around me, rethreading the tubes and checking that they were all fully functional.
