"What the fuck was that..." he said, tugging at his sleeve and wiping the tears from his face. His voice cracked as he turned away, disbelief shaking through every breath.
"No... please, it's not what you think..." The other man ran after him-the same man he once believed was incapable of cruelty. He reached out, catching his wrist, desperate for forgiveness.
He had tried to repair something that shouldn't have been broken in the first place. Fear of losing the person he loved most clawed at him. Not again. Please, not again.

"Please... don't leave me alone," he whispered, his hands trembling as they held the older man's limp one. "I'm begging you."
"You said you wanted to know me again, no matter how hard it got. So why does it feel like you're giving up?" His chest tightened as guilt and grief tangled inside him.
Even if those memories were gone, he would make sure they found their way back-piece by piece. Even if it meant losing himself in the process.

- I tend to write with a lot of detail and realism, to the point you might forget it's even a fanfiction.
- I also don't do instant "love at first sight" or characters jumping on each other in chapter two. For me, romance needs real character development and progression. It's not a fairytale shortcut... it's earned.
- Oh and I wrote LONG chapters... Like, long LOOONG. Starting from 3100+ to 8300+ words <3 (for now)
