21 years have passed the destruction of the second Death Star and the death of Emperor Palpatine. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker has founded a Jedi Academy on Yavin IV to raise a new generation of galactic peacekeepers and renew the old Republic.

In the paradigm shift of the post-war, many Imperial holdouts band together as a united remnant force to oppose the leaders of the restored Republic government, comprised of such key members as Senator Mon Mothma, General Leia Organa, and Skywalker himself.

One of Luke's many apprentices, a gifted young woman by the name of Mari Kadan is sent on a reconnaissance mission to recover crucial intelligence on secret Imperial Remnant projects based on the planet Sullust, suspected to be headed by a sect of rogue Jedi.

It's a world where some teenagers who aren't even two decades old somehow mystically defeat the descendants of legendary heroes, ancient demons, powerful dragons, etc. Why does this happen?
