Romance
Seventeen-year-old Elena has always felt out of step with the world. Living in a quiet French town with her parents, her days are filled with books, river swims, and dreams that feel too fragile to speak aloud. Sensitive and searching, she yearns for something more than the simplicity of small-town summers. When Adrian, a charming and brilliant university student, arrives to spend the summer with her family, Elena's world begins to shift. He is older, mysterious, and carries with him a depth of experience that draws her in. What begins as shy curiosity soon blossoms into something more-a connection that feels as fleeting as summer but as unforgettable as first love. But summers always end. And when September comes, Elena must face the question that will haunt her for years: was their love just a season, or something she will carry with her forever?

One last trip with her family before she goes to University. Her intentions for this trip were to spend every minute making memories and savouring the last moments she'd get with her family before she moved away. She did this, just not with who she had planned. In the Italian sun it's easy to make rash decisions and to have a lapse in judgement. Especially when a man, you've only just met, comes into play. When he's showing you the island and teaching you Italian, how can you not fall madly in love? With three weeks to spend, will she let herself fall head over heels for a guy she will most likely never see again, or will she stick with her former plan and come to her senses?
