I'm Brontè Wyler, shy, bookish, and have no life experience. I thought housesitting for Ocean Grove's wealthiest, moodiest property developer would be an easy gig. Keep the place spotless, stay out of sight, don't get caught staring at him like he's sin wrapped in a three-piece suit. But Parker Greyson has a way of pulling me in even as he tries to push me away. He's eleven years older than me, infuriatingly arrogant, and far too aware of how magnetic he is. From the moment we meet, he makes me feel like I am utterly insignificant. Until the night I get him alone-when his walls come down, his eyes linger, and one thing leads to another. He's commanding, restless, and rough around the edges. Exactly the kind of man I should avoid. Instead, I find myself craving him-the touch that turns soft only for me, the protection I never expected, the heat that makes me forget every rule I promised to follow. My contract says I work for him. But the way he looks at me says something else entirely. But when business and pleasure collide, someone's bound to get burned.

[ COMPLETED] Excerpt: Come in." I said pulling him into my office. "I'm actually glad you came. I was going to call you and tell you that, even though I thought the gestures were really nice. It has to stop." "Go out with me tonight." He said taking a step closer to me, ignoring what I'd just said. I could feel his breath on my skin and I didn't know if I would be able to keep my hands to myself. "Did you hear what I just said?" I asked in barely a whisper, taking another step back. "Yeah." He said nodding his head. "Go out with me...tonight." he stepped closer again. "I..." I felt him getting closer and I couldn't breathe. My mind was screaming yes. "I can't."
