Clementine has been best friends with Nora for almost as long as she can remember. They've been together through thick and thin; though, if Clem was being honest, most of the thick was Nora's fault.
Clem wants a normal life. Clem wants to go to school, get a job, have normal friends. All Nora seems to want is drinks, police troubles, and to convince Clem that the strange man with yellow eyes she saw over Clem's bed one night years ago actually exists.
Who would buy that? They had a troubled past, sure, Clem understood that better than anyone, but Nora just couldn't let it go. It was like she was trying to dredge up painful memories for the hell of it, in a weird, creepy way, too, and Clem was over it. She decides to cut ties with Nora, at least until she gets her issues worked out.
Then, Clem's mother dies pinned to the ceiling and spontaneously erupts into flames.
Suddenly, Nora is the only person who has any answers for her, and Clem is thrust into a life full of things she'd thought only existed in nightmares. Monsters, ghosts, and the thing Nora has been trying to tell her about since they were kids: demons.
Clem isn't going to stand for her mother's death, and neither is Nora. If something killed her mother, then that something would have to be killed. Anyone who gets in the way of that will have to deal with them; and, if there happens to be anyone looking to kill the same thing they're after, well... four heads are better than two.
