Tres swears he's fine being Amara's best friend even if every laugh, every sigh, and every look she gives him makes him ache to be something more. He buries his feelings under teasing remarks and late-night transes made just for her, while silently resenting anyone who gets too close to her. Amara, the oblivious best friend, draws boundaries with Tres, unwilling to gamble her heart on someone notorious for breaking others. Still, his absence unsettles her more than she admits, especially when he starts spending time with another girl. What happens if one detaches? Would they risk the friendship they built for years or hold unto the uncertainty of maybe's? A/N: This is just a self indulgent one shot not related with any story that I write

She labeled him as out of touch with reality, someone whose privileged lifestyle makes him unattainable and incompatible, especially for someone from a middle-class background like her. To make matters worse, Mackenzie happens to be the only ex Skye has ever had. this epistolary is written in taglish.
