Kyra possesses a special power, a healing power, that was a side effect of an experiment gone wrong. Haggar's experiment. If Haggar knew of her powers, and that she is a threat to Zarkons reign, she'd be eliminated.
The Galra kidnapped her from her home planet, and she became a prisoner of war. They wanted information and her families secret knowledge, but she never told. Eventually everyone forgot she even had hidden knowledge and she just became another prisoner.
Disclaimer- cursing, and graphic topics about abuse and torture. This story also follows Shiro being a clone, but is mostly an OC AU. Kyra is my own character

Voltron and OC AU called Crystal Faith. Everything seems to be going just fine in Shiro's life. He's a senior officer at the Galaxy Garrison (Crystal Core) along with his fiancé Adam and his daughter just enrolled as a cadet. But he keeps having nightmares and it's starting to mess with him. There's a battle with the Galra on Earth that leaves everyone shaken, but leaves Shiro in worse conditions than before. (Voltron is not necessarily a part of this story.) None of the art is mine. (Shiro is a winged lion, Adam is human, Pidge is half Altean, and half Galren, Holly is a weird, human thing with wings, Iantha is a catfolk, Lance is human, Luna is a werewolf, Percy is human, Keith is half galra, Krolia is a full Galra and that's about it.) (Krolia is NOT Keith's mother in this AU, Pidge is Shiro's adopted daughter, Adam doesn't die, and Holly, Iantha, Percy and Luna are NOT my OCs. They belong to a very good friend of mine.) So the spiral light at the center of the universe was shattered into 9 shards and the universe has been in chaos ever since. Because the spiral light shattered, the Crystal Core was formed, and the Galra have been invading peaceful planets to them more power for the empire, and all that stuff. So Crystal Bearers are sent out on missions, freeing captured planets, freeing prisoners, recruiting new Crystal Cadets, stopping space piracy and other junk like that. However, she gets shot down before she gets away. She crashes on a forest planet, with no technology for her to repurpose. She will be stranded there trying to keep the Galra from her damaged lion, will Voltron force be able to save her? Or will her injuries finally kill her?
