Marty the Martian Farmer

Logline:
When yet another hunk of Earth junk crashes on his farm, Marty the Martian Farmer turns a problem into a comical... and slightly weird solution.

Synopsis:
It's another quiet night on Mars - until a blazing light streaks across the sky and a distant crash jolts Marty and his wife awake. With a tired groan of "Not again...,"

Marty trudges out to the fields and finds the culprit: a crashed Earth rover, proudly sporting a U.S. flag.

Without ceremony, he hauls the damaged rover to his ever-growing junk heap - a graveyard of space probes, landers, and scrap from Earth's endless onslaughts.

Back at the farm, Marty's day gets worse: Jimmy's beloved (and perpetually hungry) cow, Serinabell, has chewed a chunk out of his trusty tractor. As he angrily tinkers with repairs, a lightbulb moment strikes. "Ah ha!"

Later, we see Serinabell trotting on a leash behind Marty... straight to the junk pile. With a delighted moo and ravenous as ever, she digs in. By nightfall, half the heap is gone.

Later that night, Marty drifts off content - Serinabell is full, the fields are cleaner, and all is well. Then, another fiery streak lights up the sky. Marty bolts upright, ready to curse... but in the distance, a cowbell jingles and Serinabell's satisfied moo echoes across the valley. Marty smiles, rolls over, and goes back to sleep. Just another day on the farm.

Along the way, we meet the other characters. His daughter Clarita joins a punk band. Jimmy is attempting to build another spaceship. Savanna barely holds everything all together, as usual.

Lest we forget that darn cow...

Tone & Style:
Green Acres meets Futurama, with a dusty red Mars aesthetic and slapstick beats. Light, clever, and charming - suitable for all ages.
