Five Korean-American sophomores at a private school in suburban Oklahoma have been inseparable since sixth grade. Their bond was sealed by a pinky promise-one that hid a dangerous secret. Years ago, in middle school, they discovered something they were never meant to find: a forgotten science lab under the school. What began as adventure turned into silence, lies, and guilt.

Now, as teenagers, the group laughs, bickers, and remembers their childhood like nothing ever happened. But when strange events resurface, the truth begins to crack through their carefully kept promise. And in the end, one of them will shatter everything.
