Meanwhile, in the sprawling desert of Rustbed, chaos was boiling underneath the hot sands. King Caroon, ruler of Machiaville, was facing scrutiny from the two empires after investigations pointed to him being the mastermind behind the Strife Striders' action in their land. However, through his decisive and strategic usage of his soft power, he was able to drive the imperial dogs off his feet. Be that as it may, the two empires were not going to back down so easily and had already planted seeds of chaos throughout his vast connection within Machiaville and beyond. All it takes now is for the fuse to be lit, and everything shall fall over him.

As the world slowly headed towards chaos, Lorian and the Strife Striders continued to remain on the hidden island, disconnected from the outside world, finishing their business with Matina before embarking on their journey home. When they finally returned, they would find themselves in a storm created by their previous actions, and had to bear the price it brought.
