Fifty years ago, the doors of St. Augustine High slammed shut after a tragedy the town refuses to talk about. Ever since, the crumbling building has loomed over the outskirts like a monument to something best forgotten.

Sixteen-year-old Evelyn Harper has always been drawn to the strange and the haunted. When she convinces her boyfriend Jake, his best friend Max, her influencer friend Junko, and shy tech-wizard Autumn to join her for one night inside the school, she thinks they're chasing ghost stories and local legends.

But St. Augustine High is not empty. Its hallways breathe. Its shadows whisper. And the deeper they go, the more the five friends realize they're not just uncovering a mystery-they're waking something up.
