"Come on, Des," Cam grinned, leaning against the wall with that reckless confidence only he could pull off. His shirt clung to his chest, damp from the night's chaos. "Don't tell me you're scared."

I rolled my eyes, but my heart wasn't listening. It hammered against my ribs, traitorous, every time his gaze locked with mine.
