Riley Robinson was used to making it on her own. It was more than a year into the end of the world, and she was mostly indifferent to where she was at. She was relatively safe in a camp, with a guy she decently liked, and was getting through each day unscathed... Hell, she was just happy to be around people again. But after Pete is killed by the Governor, she sets out in a haze from her neutral existence where she links up with Rick Grimes, and meets a certain crossbow-wielding hunter named Daryl Dixon. She soon realizes she never had to settle as they start to fall for each other. But things aren't always as easy as they seem, and Riley and Daryl have a long road ahead of them. Join them on their adventure through love, loss, heartbreak, friendships, and new beginnings as they gain their footing in this new world together.

It wasn't obvious, and it wasn't easy to see, but it was there. I didn't know the full extent of his story, of the pain and the ghosts he carried with him, but I could tell that behind his rough edges, there was a man who cared.
