Better Days Ahead

They said memories are unreliable. Growing up will blur them like a cold wind to the crystal clear windows. But my memory of her can't be told the same. I remember how her lukewarm laugh lightened up my darkest days each time she was around. I remember how she expressed her fears of losing friends as if they were her oxygen. Sabi nila problems are puzzles, they're meant to be solved-not feared. That line hit me hard, parang sampal sa mukha-too rare to be forgotten.

She was as brittle as glass, she was so soft. Yet, I could never consider her a problem, para sa'kin, she's still a story unfolding. Too early to judge, never too late to be left. Her eyes were soft like the first rays of the evening glow-they're innocent eyes that are still trying to trust the world with her gentle voice.

And nandito ako, the patched helper, a person stitched by other person's story na palaging may baon na ballpen at mga salitang "Okay ka lang?"
