For Hyunjin, life was a night sky stripped bare. No moon. No stars. No light at all. Not because they had abandoned him, but because he had driven them away. Every single one. He wanted the darkness clean and untouched. Silent. Cold. He didn't want warmth. Didn't want noise. Not even the mercy of a quiet lullaby.

To him, Minho was nothing more than a dead star flickering uselessly, trying to spark again and failing. A burden drifting through his lightless sky. And if Minho ever dared to shine in his peaceful and painful darkness, even a little, Hyunjin would crush that light too.

Also for Minho, life was a night sky. No moon. No stars. No glow to cling to. But unlike Hyunjin, he hadn't chased the light away. He had been left behind. Abandoned. The darkness wasn't chosen, it was given. The silence wasn't protection, it was punishment. Something he believed he deserved. Yet he still aches for warmth. Still longed for sound. Even if it's not a soft, fragile lullaby, even if it's just a loud scream or an insult but coming out from Hyunjin's mouth, would have been enough.

To Minho, Hyunjin was also a star. Small, distant, cold. But real. A faint light piercing the endless dark, offering just enough warmth to survive another night. And Minho knew this much with frightening certainty. He would do anything to keep that star in his sky. No matter the cost.
