"Are you stupid for cried out loud?!" he yelled at me.
"I don't even know what to do anymore... Ola, just don't shout at me please, I'm going nuts right now," I said, my voice trembling.
"Joy, you fell in love with our lecturer and you're being so stupid to write him a note. For Pete's sake, have sense na!" he fired back, his eyes sharp with disappointment.
I froze, unable to breathe for a moment. The note. The one I slipped under his office door this afternoon. What if he had already read it? What if he reported me to the school authority? What if... he actually kept it?
Ola's words echoed in my head, but my heart wasn't listening. Somewhere deep inside me, I wanted Dean to know the truth. I wanted him to see beyond the lecturer-student boundary.
