Willow Parker lives for the thrill.
Once she clicks her boots into place and snaps her skis on, nothing else matters except her, the hill, and the timer. No matter where she goes, that's what never changes. That is, until the unimaginable happens.
After a family tragedy ultimately ruins the sport for her, she packs every last thing away that could even remind her of skiing and restarts her life. But when she moves to a new school in Salt Lake City, Utah, she starts to reconsider. Everyone seems to do some sort of winter sport, and she appears to be the only one missing out. Not only that, but the school seems to be split between 2 highly competitive alpine teams at Snowbird Ski Resort.
Willow soon steps up and takes the risk of starting racing again. She's better than ever with the new team and friends, and is almost the best person on the team. But just as luck seems to work, disaster strikes yet again when Evan Overton- the best skier and captain from the Vortex's, the opposing alpine team- weasels his way into Willow's life, stirring up drama, trouble, and a little bit of romance.
