Kelsea Glass doesn't believe in mermaids - or rather, she didn't until she finds out first-hand not only that merfolk are real, but that the bite of a merman can turn a human into a mermaid. Now she is stuck with some guy who bit her, trying to figure out what he wants and how to get back home. --- "Fine," she said, upset. "You are a beast, a monster." The merman brushed off the insult. "Be careful who you call a beast. You are about to turn into one yourself." --- Beauty and the Beast with some fishy twists. --- ON HIATUS - will be back soon! Thanks for your patience. A story similar to a classic fairy tale, but with a major twist ... What if the little mermaid were a deep sea merman instead? And what if the human he fell in love with went to live with him in the sea instead? Though born as a regular human on land, Henrietta always felt as if she were suffocating. She struggled to survive and belong among her kind. On a night when she sought to end her life at sea, she was rescued by Elsen, a merman who had once felt the same as her. Despite coming from different worlds, their shared experiences instantly built a bridge between them. When misfortune struck again, Henrietta lost her home and was driven to the edge once more. Seeing that she had nowhere else to go, Elsen brought her to his home in the deep sea. Although the ocean depths were tranquil and soothing, Henrietta's heart was still plagued with worries. And she soon discovered that Elsen also had yet to defeat his own demons. Will these two broken souls finally heal and come to love not only each other but themselves as well?
