A semi-fictional biography about the lives of two young girls, from their own perspectives, growing up and dealing with life's challenges.

Fraternal twins, Sonya & Tonya, grew up never knowing their dad. All they knew were their mother, a hard-working woman trying to care for 5 daughters, and the man she married.

Sonya's side of the story goes through her struggle with a troubled past and having to find herself through the madness. She is quiet, passive aggressive, but oh so determined to get to the top of the mountain she's been falling down. All she wants is to be understood, and when no one catches the subtle hints she leaves, all there is left for her to do is retreat into her mind, holding all thoughts and feelings to herself... until she meets this girl named Jessica who seems to have known all along...

Tonya's point of view is how she dealt with her own issues, plus the troubles of her twin sister. She is loud, lazy, and over protective. She notices the changes in her sister but can't figure out what is wrong. Tonya stuggles trying to find her own identity but realizes she is her sisters keeper. Until, the truth came out the day Jessica didn't show up to first period...
