In the shadowy underworld of an immortal Roman Empire, something sinister has been developed - something that could remove an immortal's right to death.
Aquila, an ancient reaper tasked with guiding expired immortals through a peaceful fade, has been assigned one final task before his own long awaited fading - to investigate and resolve the lingering attachments of a group of humans who have lived far too long.
Expecting an easy task, he instead finds a technology so powerful it could shake up the order of the eternal world, and someone who could rekindle his numbed humanity and teach him how to love.
