In a near-future world, there was a girl named Genesis who lived on an island with her mother. There they were secluded. It was peaceful. She loved the sea, the bright sky, and the gentle salty wind. One morning, her mother is different and not in a good way.


This was a school project that I had to write. The prompt was to write a short story incorporating a dystopian characteristic, which I chose to be AI. I hope you enjoyed reading.

"Say something," he snaps, "or is that pretty little mouth of yours finally going to stay shut?" ✧ Four-point five hundred seventy-one billion years ago the galaxy formed. The planets were set into orbit and four-point five hundred forty-three billion years ago the earth was created. Human life as we know it was started. All of that expansion led Athena Grace to Ace Hawthorne. She had never met someone so malicious, someone willing to put himself above others in a switch. He had never met anyone so wholehearted, someone willing to give up their happiness for everybody else's. All it took was one simple tug of the door for her to fall into him, for her to see the boy with a demure smile that covered his cheeks like stardust. And just like that, the fate of the universes collided. ✧ "You waited for me?" I ask, a small smile playing on my lips as I tilt my head. "Didn't want to get up," he rests his elbows on the table and supports his face. I stare at him in awe, big black eyes with thick lashes that flutter against his honey skin. His lips are pink and they get pinker when he chews on them, and he has a tiny scar right beneath his jaw. He stirs. "Why are you staring at me?" "Is it too early in our friendship to call you pretty?" I murmur, not caring to stop my words as my eyes flicker to his. He opens his mouth to say something, then presses his lips together and stays silent, but his cheeks slightly turn pink which makes my heart thump out of my chest. "Oh my God, you're blushing." "What? No-" He takes his elbows off the table and wipes at his cheeks. "No, I'm just hot." "I called you pretty," I bite my lips. "And now you're blushing." "Be quiet, Athena. I'm not blushing. I don't blush." He drapes his arms across his chest. "Ace Hawthrone," I lean closer on the table. "I most definitely made you blush." ✧ DON'T POST THIS ANYWHERE! "How dare you fucking disobey me," He grits his teeth clenching his fists while glaring at me. "Please let me go, I promise I won't say anything to anyone," I beg tears sliding down my cheeks slowly backing away from him. "Didn't I make myself clear already? You will never escape from here." My heart sinks down to my stomach. Anger quickly rising making me splutter two words I'd soon would regret. "FUCK YOU!," I scold. "What did you just say?," he grumbles his chocolate brown eyes three shades darker almost looking black. I gasp, as my back hits the wall watching him close in on me. I try to curve to the side, but he immediately closes me in by stretching both of his arms out. His hands firmly flat against the wall. "Repeat what you just said to me Madison," he evilly mutters his eyes locked with mine. "Leo please," I mumble. "You will learn to obey me," he venomously says his hot breathe hitting my flesh near my ear. Suddenly, his large hand grips my neck tightly chocking me. Both of my hands clutches onto his hand trying to free myself from his grip. "P-pl," I struggle to say while trying to breathe. I can feel the life in me slowly slipping away. My vision starting to blur in and out of focus. Leo suddenly lets go of my neck and I helplessly drop to the floor gasping for air like a fish gasps for water. I can feel tears sliding down my cheeks as I realize my life could have ended in the hands of this handsome murderer. "Recognize who you are speaking to. No one, I mean no one ever disrespects Leo Castillo, leader of The Red Eagles!", he firmly says his cold eyes glaring down at me. I stay silent completely mute. My body trembling from pure fear scared to say anything that might upset him again. Leo turns his heel walking out of the room locking it from the outside leaving me in shock of what just happened. I stay silent as I looked around the room, avoiding eye contact. He placed his free hand on my waist, the other still holding my hand. "Shall I call them over while I have you bent over this bed?" He says planting a kiss on my stomach, going lower each time. I run my free hand through the back of his hair, gently pulling his head back slightly, forcing him to look back up at me. He had a dangerously evil smile on. I knew my cheeks were going red, I pushed him away and rushed towards the the door. "You always do this." I mumble quietly, trying to catch my breath which I lost in the heat of the moment. "Would you be lying to me if you said you didn't like it?" He replied, walking over to me. I wasn't going to tell him that his assumption offended me either. Instead I replied with "Just out of curiosity" I said in a mocking tone "You're single now too, aren't you?" "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" "You're not gonna leave me alone, are you?" I muttered, attempting once more, to grab the book I so badly needed for English. "You're really hot, you know?" "You're really annoying, you know?"

It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."
