Cracks in the coldness (Fragile Hearts 1)
I have always been alone, as far as my memories could take me, me standing at 3 feet, people looking down at me like I was insignificant dirt, like the mere presence of a child was disgusting. Humans have always been fickle minded insects for me, it was easy to control them with a smile, a few words and a single glance like you cared, like puppets attached to string, I admit I enjoyed it when I made a few people suffer, but the again, that was barely of what I could do.
When I started the year at bridgeton to major in nuclear physics, I expected my academic years to go as boringly as the ones doing my bachelors, atleast now I don't have to deal with any people....or so I thought, until...I crossed my paths with him, a man so tempting like the devil himself sent him my way, but I'd grow up among predators...and perhaps even became one, the tattoos peeking from his collar and cuffs, the coldness in his eyes...and I knew I came across someone who played almost as good as me.
She sees right past me, the moment my eyes landed on her, I never could've guessed that that pretty little thing could shake up everything, at first glance you see the top student, the kind who people assumed to be shy as a reason for less interaction, so did I, but what made me curious, even I couldn't tell. I was the Russia's most feared and biggest syndicate ruler, having inherited it after killing my father. I operated from America now, disguised as a normal mathematics professor, being a genius in numbers, that was hardly anything big to pretend, so by the daytime I was at seminars, lecture halls and conferences and by night...well, I operated my empire.
