Bulma has discovered that a former employee of Capsule Corp has stolen a Dragon Radar and gathered all the Dragon Balls in secret. This so-called "employee", Chris McLean, then offers the balls as the grand prize for his reality TV show, Total Drama Island, to any teenager who agrees to compete. Disturbed by this, she asks Goku to investigate and bring the Dragon Balls back somehow.
