Smiles in the Dark

When private detective Dana Halloway takes on the case of a missing horror novelist, the trail leads her to the crumbling ruins of Blackwood Asylum-a place whispered about in town but long abandoned after its patients vanished without explanation. Once run by the infamous Dr. Erasmus Grin, the asylum promised a radical cure for depression: relentless tickling until patients broke into hysterical laughter. But the laughter never stopped.
Now, as Dana searches the asylum's shadowed corridors, she discovers the author may not be the only one trapped within. Echoes of forced mirth linger in the walls, and the deeper she ventures, the more she feels unseen fingers reaching for her, desperate to share the doctor's cure.
