In a near-future society where emotion-regulating implants are the norm, a teen goes missy shortly after getting her implant. She was a straight A, straight edge, and straight mind girl. Where is she and what happened after her implant was put in? Her best friend wants to know, and will stop at nothing to find her and figure that out. The problem? She wanted nothing more than to get her implant and forget everything from her dark past, but now she must go to a dark market and get emotion files to discover what happened that she may be forgetting, and hold onto Margo's memory. Nobody told the people that these implants would effect their everyday life so heavily and even cause them to forget who they once knew. The illegal files cause Chrissy to go too deep, having memories and emotions that aren't hers resonate into her brain. But the more she downloads, the more reality starts to bend, and the more obvious she becomes to The New Rule Government. She will stop at nothing to find her, though.
