The secret path

He lays in the snow huddled by the fire, hands closest to the fire , he starts picturing his dad in the fire then pictures him sitting criss cross apple sauce next to him holding his shoulder , both staring at firse, he sits up ,stares at the fire then his dad and back to the fire, pictures dad looking over and smiling they make eye contact, he pictures his dads hand on his chest as he raises his own hand then drops it. He stares at the fathers hand the dad and him close their eyes and breathe together and he pictures himself back home with his dad he holds his two smaller hands over his chest over the dads and then the dads hand disappears as the dad disappears again. then he falls asleep curled up by the fire his two small hands on his chest still. then the scene ends
