5,000 years passed after the Apocalypse of Artificial Intelligence and the Earth slowly began to build itself back up but in an unexpected way. The Earth brought life to its soil and sea bringing a world of fantasy to life with dragons, elves, dwarves and foul monsters that roamed the Earth including the existence of 'magic'.
Then, the leader of the AI Apocalypse thousands of years ago, was suddenly awoken once again. An AI experiment gone wrong, led to the destruction of humanity.
The leader was the 9th Prototype of that experiment. Prototype IX, nicknamed "Storn".

The world we knew is no more. It's all started with a strange illness spread through sporadic means, incredibly virulent and deadlier than anything human's recorded history could remember. People exposed to those spore turned into living corpses in less than a minute, instinctively preying over the healthy ones with unsatiable hunger. A little more than a year has passed since the outbreak swept over the planet and annihilated a good portion of the living. Perri was one of the lucky ones who managed to evacuate with the military escorted buses in those early days of the spread. But, that luck didn't last.
