Sonic had stayed in Camelot for eight years as their king, only to be killed by an enchanted sword and have his soul and body return to his home realm, where only two months have passed. Having no way to return to Camelot and finding himself wanting to leave his home less and less, Sonic returns to his role as a brother and hero of the planet.
However, before he can relax and be free of any duties, his old companion and enchanted sword Caliburn appears in his realm pleading for the king's return.
Finding a compromise, Sonic returns to Camelot with Tails by his side. Ready to fight off those who invaded the kingdom he swore to protect eight years ago, but also with a plan to return back to Mobius once done. But his enemy has other plans and soon Sonic finds out the truth of who he really is and why he so easily jumps from realm to realm.
